Citadel of Grace Mission Orphanage is a home under CITADEL OF GRACE MISSION INTERNATIONAL, duly registered to engage in missionary, evangelical and charitable roles with the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC/IT/NO31072). Our orphanage is committed to the cause of creating a lasting impact in the lives of orphans, the less privileged and vulnerable children in our society. Our services are always requested for the upkeep of orphans, abandoned babies, abused and less privileged children.
The orphanage is born out of a divine vision given to Pastor Mrs. Christy Iyile in 2008 to extend a hand of compassion to those who have fallen on evil days. On the streets are abandoned children, orphans, the oppressed and even the poor. These groups of people need care, support, a sense of belonging and above all, a home they can call theirs. Touched and moved by the plight of our fellow human beings, our vision is to provide their needs in the area of shelter, healthcare education, food and clothing which are the comforting basic necessities of life.
The right of a child to life/survival, development, protection and participation cannot be overemphasized because children are the future. Unfortunately, a large percentage of children are left to face life amidst neglect and oppression in a non-loving society. Therefore, Citadel of Grace Mission Orphanage is a response to this social evil especially against the orphans and less privileged children. We all have a moral responsibility to give these children a meaningful life. There is no need to worry about a child’s future if we fail to realize what he is today.
MISSION STATEMENT
We are set on a mission for better humanity by improving on the quality of life for this group of people. We are reaching out in love to the less privileged with all necessary care that will guarantee development and empowerment.
OBJECTIVE
Our clear objective is to erase completely psychological complexes, low self-esteem, negative moral vices, homelessness of children, child abuse and to protect the rights of the child in our society.
OUR VISION
- REHABILITATION: Citadel of Grace Orphanage structurally, is a haven in every measure. The babies and children are rehabilitated under the most conducive conditions with unconditional love. Plans are ongoing to build rehabilitation centers as abused and abandoned children are brought into the orphanage frequently by either the police or good Samaritans. Indeed, Citadel of Grace Orphanage is home for our precious children.
- REFORMATION: This is done through education and extracurricular activities. The orphanage is determined to help the children as far as they want to go in pursuit of academic excellence. All our children attend schools located around the orphanage. Presently, we have some who are about to gain admission into the universities.
