Adoption

Citadel of Grace Mission Orphanage believes strongly that children should be brought up in the spirit of peace, dignity, tolerance, freedom, equality and solidarity.  The child should grow up in a family environment, an atmosphere of love, happiness and understanding.  By reason of their physical and mental immaturity, they need special care including appropriate legal protection.  These facts conform with the basic principles of the child’s right to life, right to survival, right to development and to active participation in issues that concern him/her.

Adoption / fostering Procedures

Visit the Adoption section of Lagos State ministry of Youth, Sports and Social development, Block 18, Room 5 or 109 for details about Adoption process. Also the list of requirement will be given  to you. Once satisfied, a letter of authorization to adopt will be given to you, with which you can visit any of the Government Approved Homes, including Citadel of Grace Orphanage.

CHILDREN ARE GOD’S HERITAGE AND NOT FOR SALE.

MEDICAL TEST ARE CARRIED OUT FOR ALL OUR CHILDREN TO KNOW THEIR MEDICAL STATUS.

WE LOVE TO KNOW ABOUT THE WELL BEING OF ALL ADOPTED CHILDREN.

THE SOCIAL WELFARE OF LAGOS STATE DO THE MONITORING OF ADOPTED CHILDREN.
